That’s right, the con is on. I haven’t hit one in a while and never before MileHiCon, which celebrates everything science fiction and fantasy. Running Friday through Sunday, Oct. 18-20, the event draws more than 100 authors of scifi, fantasy, horror and speculative fiction and at the Hyatt Regency Hotel – Tech Center, 7800 E. Tufts Ave.

I’ll be signing and selling books plus meeting fans on the vendor floor. Then I’m also participating in programming. Here’s my full schedule:

  • 5-6 p.m. on Friday: Moderating the panel “Looking at Earlier Works Through a Modern Lens” in Wind River B.
  • 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday: Teaching “Creative Writing Workshop for Kids and Teens” with author Kristi Helvig in Chasm Creek B.
  • 1-2 p.m. on Saturday: Speaking to “Getting Political: Addressing political themes in SF&F writing” in Mesa Verde C.
  • 3-4 p.m. on Saturday: Speaking about “Reframing Villains” in Mesa Verde B.
